Omar received his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Wesleyan University in the College of Letters major. The College of Letters (COL) is a selective interdisciplinary program combining the study of history, literature and philosophy. COL requires a large research-oriented senior project/thesis along with the mastery of a foreign language and study in a different country. Omar chose French as his language and Paris as his destination city. Omar’s thesis research led him to Chennai, India, where Chandralekha, one of India’s most controversial and revered artists lived and worked.
