Omar premiered a new dance theater work entitled Dreams of my father’s father’s father at the Engendered Dance Festival in April 2010. The work explored memory and identity, and Omar played both an imagined ancestor and contemporary dancer, engaged in a mysterious dialogue. Omar also spoke on a panel at the South Asia Studies Institute at Columbia University.
